Al Jazeera TV: supporter of senior Iraqi cleric Sarkhi stage armed demos in Karbala & other provinces

Supporters of Ayatollah Sarkhi Al Jazeera TV reported supporters of Ayatollah al-Hassani al-Sarkhi in Karbala and other provinces staged armed rallies. Iraqi websites showed images of these armed demonstrations in Karbala, Ziqar and Basra provinces posted by supporters of senior cleric al-Sarkhi. These armed rallies are taking place after a fatwa for jihad against Maliki’s forces who launched military operations against Sarkhi’s supporters and offices in Karbala and Diwaniya. In the published images hundreds of armed men were seen in military clothes condemning Maliki and his forces. Al Jazeera TV reported at least 40 suppoorters of Mahmoud al-Sarkhi al-Hassani, a cleric of Shiites in Iraq, were killed following security forces’ attacks against his office in Karbala.  These security sources said Maliki’s security forces were also killed in the clashes with al-Sarkhi’s supporters. Al Jazeera TV added clashes and arrests in Karbala against al-Sarkhi continues… these clashes lasted for many hours and eyewitnesses said many helicopters were seen in the skies of Karbala, and some said these helicopters were involved in the clashes. Al-Tagheer TV reported al-Sarkhi supporters attack a number of police stations in Baghdad.
