Iran, July 9, 2019 - The Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) called for a Free Iran rally in Berlin during which NCRI President Maryam Rajavi delivered a video speech in support of the Iranian people’s uprising and their organized resistance, according to the Associated Press. The rally was held at Berlin’s historic Brandenburg Gate.
Iranian demonstrators marched in Berlin calling for the prosecution and expulsion of individuals in Europe and Germany who are linked to Iran’s terrorist-designated Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), according to Al Arabiya, adding around 15,000 exiled Iranians attended the demonstration, emphasizing their support for popular protests against the mullahs’ regime in Iran.
A number of international dignitaries, including former U.S. Congressman Patrick Kennedy, Columbian-French politician Ingrid Betancourt, German MP Thomas Nord, and others attended and delivered speeches at the Berlin rally.
