Iran: Reyhaneh Jabbari’s birthday on Thursday Nov. 6
Reyhaneh’s parents have invited friends and relatives and even strangers to take part in a memorial ceremony on Thursday Nov. 6th, the birthday of the 26-year-old Reyhaneh who was viciously executed on Saturday Oct. 25 in a prison near Tehran by the criminal regime of Iran. The ceremony would be held at 1400 hours Thursday and people are asked to hold a candle and a flower to honor her memory.
Her mother writes: Reyhaneh was born on Nov. 6, 1987. We throw a birthday party for her every year. I was at Gohardasht prison to receive her personal belongings. I still cannot believe that she is gone. During her 7 years’ incarceration, I held birthday party for her without her presence. Thousands of people have written to me and asked me to let them come to her birthday. But my house of course cannot hold so many people. And I know the regime authorities do not allow a large crowd to converge at her gravesite. So I ask all these human loving people to only put a flower and to lid a candle next to her picture and upload their photo on my face book page. This is the only birthday that can host millions of guests.
