Turkey to train 2000 Syrian fighters
Turkey’s foreign ministry said its army and the USA are training 2000 Syrian fighters in a base located in the center of Turkey. Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said these 2000 personnel are part of 5000 Syrian fighters that are being trained in different countries.
The announced was made after the recent trip by Vice president Joe Biden to Turkey. In a joint press conference with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan Mr. Biden said: we talked about support for Syrian moderate opposition against Assad, and the role of Turkey in this issue. |
