Turkey negotiating with PKK
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister expressed his government’s readiness for direct talks with the leadership of PKK, the Kurdistan Workers Party. Bashir Atalay said his plan is to enter direct talks with a new delegation with PKK representatives in Ghandil. The Turkish government will work on a plan which PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan will be informed of.
Ocalan on Saturday issued a statement saying after the Turkish presidential elections this country is now on the verge of ‘historic developments’ and the 30-year war of this party against the Turkish government will be ending through democratic talks. |
