Iran, July 9, 2019 - The Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) called for a Free Iran rally in Berlin during which NCRI President Maryam Rajavi
delivered a video speech in support of the Iranian people’s uprising
and their organized resistance, according to the Associated Press. The
rally was held at Berlin’s historic Brandenburg Gate.
Iranian
demonstrators marched in Berlin calling for the prosecution and
expulsion of individuals in Europe and Germany who are linked to Iran’s
terrorist-designated Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS),
according to Al Arabiya, adding around 15,000 exiled Iranians attended
the demonstration, emphasizing their support for popular protests
against the mullahs’ regime in Iran.
A number of
international dignitaries, including former U.S. Congressman Patrick
Kennedy, Columbian-French politician Ingrid Betancourt, German MP Thomas
Nord, and others attended and delivered speeches at the Berlin rally.
The EPA photo
agency published 40 images of the Berlin rally saying NCRI supporters
gathered in the German city calling for regime change and establishing
democracy in Iran.
