Iran: 110 members of parliament ask for public trial of Rafsanjani’s son

Hamid Parsaee, MP, and a close ally of Khamenei said: 110 members of the parliament have presented a letter to the judge asking for public trial of Mehdi Hashemi, Rafsanjani’s son. He said there is a committee in charge of overseeing the judiciary regarding Mehdi Hashemi’s case.
But Tabatabaee who legally represents the accused said the action taken by the parliament is toward making a political tension out of this case.
